International Design Competition for Seoul Yeouido Riverside Park

Encountering a new island :

Hangang Renassaince is a revitalizing process to recover Han River’s segregation from the city and enhance the river’s edge as natural process in this design. Connecting the water’s edge with a much more gentle slope to the city and a subway station provide the city with a better relationship with the park. A ferry terminal is also proposed to connect with existing Yeouido Park. The ecological function of the river was heavily considered to recover the biodiversity of the river and the city.

URBAN LEVEE :

The urban levee is placed on top of the fond memories of how we enjoyed the lakeside from the reservoir banks. Green grass is laid across the horizontal rice paddies.

The narrow stream is enlarged to embrace people and life.

Home to the joy of harvest, the fields now nurture new forms of ceaseless creation and production. Inside the serene wetlands, we encounter a miniature universe.

Design Competition for Waterfront in Dongtan2 Newtown

New Mountain=New Cityscape :

Waterfront Complex is a symbolic land mark for Dongtan 2 City surrounded by natural features, such as Sancheok Water Reservoir and Songbang Creek. Multi functional landuse of the lake park, residential and mix-use, waterfront commercial, and public places called for open space to be more flexible as a multi functional base. Therefore, review on land use was made for cityscape perspective and with careful recommendation we suggested to conserve the natural features of the site yet maximize the harmony between major urban elements and environment.
